Project Overview
UrbanScoot is an eScooter mobility platform designed to simplify short distance urban transportation. Riders can create profiles, locate nearby scooters, review vehicle information, unlock available scooters, manage active trips, and complete payments through a connected mobile experience. Operations teams can monitor vehicles, riders, trips, payments, and scooter availability through an administrative interface. The platform was built to connect the complete scooter journey, from vehicle discovery and unlocking to trip completion and payment. Abhineh Infotech supported product planning, UI UX design, mobile development, backend engineering, integrations, testing, and deployment.
Project Idea
UrbanScoot was designed to make scooter discovery and ride management simple while giving operations teams clear visibility into vehicles, riders, trips, and platform activity.
Scooter rental involves several connected steps, including locating a vehicle, checking availability, unlocking it, starting a trip, monitoring ride status, and completing payment. UrbanScoot needed to make these actions easy to follow while maintaining accurate information across riders, vehicles, and operational systems.
Abhineh Infotech connected scooter discovery, vehicle availability, unlocking, trip management, payments, location services, and administrative controls through a shared architecture. This allowed rider actions and vehicle information to move consistently between mobile interfaces and backend services while giving operations teams broader platform visibility.
The product principle focused on clarity, speed, and confidence. Riders needed immediate access to nearby scooters and essential trip information, while operations teams required clear vehicle and ride visibility. Focused screens and straightforward actions helped reduce unnecessary steps throughout the rental journey.

Challenges
UrbanScoot supported riders and operations teams with different responsibilities and access requirements. Riders needed fast access to nearby vehicles, unlocking, trip controls, and payment information, while operations teams required broader controls for scooters, users, trips, and platform activity.
Scooter platforms generate frequently changing information across vehicle locations, availability, battery status, trip records, rider details, pricing, and payment activity. The system needed structured data handling and timely updates so riders and operations teams could access relevant information throughout each scooter journey.
Vehicle availability and trip activity can change rapidly in busy areas. UrbanScoot required efficient location services, responsive APIs, real time trip updates, caching, and scalable infrastructure to support vehicle discovery, unlocking, ride management, and operational monitoring during periods of increased demand.

Results
UrbanScoot launched as a connected eScooter mobility platform covering rider accounts, scooter discovery, vehicle unlocking, ride management, payments, location services, and operations. The delivered product brought key stages of the scooter journey into one structured experience.
Centralised operational tools gave teams clearer visibility into scooter availability, active rides, riders, payments, and vehicle activity. This helped create more consistent workflows for monitoring the fleet and handling daily platform operations.
Riders gained a more organised journey from finding a scooter through unlocking, riding, and completing payment. Clear vehicle information, active trip details, and focused controls helped users understand each stage without unnecessary navigation.
The platform created a foundation for future mobility capabilities. Its architecture can support additional vehicle types, pricing models, fleet controls, location features, ride plans, payment options, and operational reporting as UrbanScoot expands.
